However, you can't say that they do it normally, so its ok, then call touch fouls on the other end of the floor. I mean I'm sorry to say, it isn't just about Gate City preparing for up the state and if that is why they get away with it, thats not fair to the other teams. I mean how are the other teams supposed to get used to playing that way or playing that style when they do it and get called for it and Gate City doesn't?

THAT is what a lot of the GC fans lose sight of when they say they get away with it b/c they are physical. Most of the time, if a team tries to get physical with them, foul trouble ensues, and that's yet another advantage to give to GC anyways. If it doesn't get called and someone gets to play that way with GC, it's that the refs were horrible...SURE...
The game Coeburn & GC played last night was called as close to an even playing field as an LPD team has had against GC since they came back to the district. Sure they missed some, but they missed some both ways. Basically what it boils down to is that the comments from Broady & Quincy told me that they got a taste of their own medicine and didn't like it. I feel that Coeburn is the one team that GC doesn't want to have to play against again for the rest of the season...that's for sure.
On a side note, I hope even after the LPD breakup that GC & Coeburn keep each other on their schedules, just for the pure fact that we'll get to see Tihlee Anderson & Andrew Adkins go back and forth...2 of the most talented freshmen to come through in a long time. 3 more years to see them battle would be nice...great matchup.
